What Can - And Can’t - Go In Your Skip
While our skips are designed to handle a wide range of waste, there are some restrictions to keep in mind. Items like car tyres, mattresses, and fridges can be disposed of for an extra charge, while gas bottles and asbestos are completely prohibited due to safety regulations. New legislation from the Environment Agency also means that if you want to dispose of sofas, sofa beds, armchairs, or similar upholstered furniture, you must contact us for a quote first. Plasterboard requires a separate quote, and liquids such as paint or engine oil must be in lidded containers.
On the plus side, 95% of the waste we collect is recycled and repurposed in-house, making our service not only convenient but environmentally friendly too. If you’re unsure about any items, just give us a call, and we’ll be happy to advise.
